QAV encourages its staff to participate in charity events and provides match funding for the funds they raise. Take a look at some examples of QAV's fundraising, sponsorship and activities in the local community below:

Ice Bucket Challenge

QAV were nominated by our own staff member James Kemp to undertake the ALS #icebucketchallenge that has been sweeping the social media sites over the summer of 2014 to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association www.mndassociation.org. Following our drenching in a Mexican wave style - QAV nominated all our Clients, Suppliers and Freelancers to take up the challenge!

Owen is recognised as a potential "Star of the Future" and has only recently channelled his focus from elite gymnastics and diving to just diving. QAV are now St Neots Mini Rugby - training kit sponsors.

The development of the under 7's - 11's in the honourable game of Rugby, where communication, skill, strength and discipline are pre requisites to produce a successful team, makes it perfect match for QAV social sponsoring as the same qualities are required to deliver an outstanding event.

Somersham Primary School Video Challenge

QAV supported a primary school with their "Video Challenge" and helped the children to produce their own whole school video to showcase to prospective parents. The school's newsletter reported:

"Working in teams and starting with the creation of a story board and video log, the children were able to call on the help of experienced film makers from local company QAV Ltd. John, a freelance cameraman and film producer, assisted the children as they collected visual and sound footage, and each team then refined their work at QAV's editing suite in Witchford with the help of video technician Luke."

QAV staff partake in Coppafeel charity cycle ride

At 5pm Sunday 26th Sept they completed their (what turned out to be) 171 mile journey round the Suffolk and Norfolk coast.

See their journey here

It didn't go exactly to plan due to unforeseen circumstances i.e. the atrocious weather. 30 mph head winds, horizontal 'nail' rain, clay tracks that stopped our wheels turning, being blown off bikes, grueling 11 hour day Saturday, rain, heavy rain, more rain, more wind, 50-60 mph gusts, many breaking points, lack of sleep, hills etc.

But they made it! FANTASTIC team effort all round.

"Many thanks to everyone that's supported us."

QAV staff have joined this annual event to raise over £2000 for the breast cancer charity Coppafeel. 2010 was a particularly challenging year and the lads successfully completed the challenge again in August 2012. www.coppafeel.org
